Evolving Solutions, Inc. enhances their TotalStorage™ Solution Center with the addition of the new IBM TotalStorage Enterprise Storage Server Model 800

Hamel, Minnesota, July 22, 2002:
Today Evolving Solutions, Inc. announced the installation of the newest IBM TotalStorage™ Enterprise tssclogo.gifStorage Server Model 800 (ESS, code named "Shark") in their TotalStorage™ Solution Center (TSSC). The Model 800 is a third generation of the ESS and provides enhanced performance, scalability, and flexibility while supporting 24 x 7 operations availability. As a result of Evolving Solutions' dedication to IBM TotalStorage technology and industry leading expertise in the area of open systems server and storage integration, they were selected as one of three TotalStorage™ Solution Centers in the U.S. to participate in the pilot installation of the ESS Model 800.

The Model 800 upgrade improves the efficiency, continuity and consolidation of customers' critical business processes. Designed to be the most versatile and cost-efficient storage server in its class, the Model 800 offers many new flexible features, including a "turbo" configuration that efficiently handles up to 150 percent more workload, an expanded 64 gigabyte (GB) internal cache, increased internal bandwidth, Redundant Array of Independent Disk (RAID) level-10 data mirroring and striping for performance in high demanding applications. The Model 800 will help increase storage administrator productivity, improve data availability and reduce total cost of ownership.
